The Midwest Geotechnical Conference was held September 24-27, 2018 at the Stoney Creek Hotel & Conference Center in Moline, IL. Presentations from the event can be found below.
The Midwest Geotechnical Conference (MWGC) seeks to bring together State and Federal DOT geotechnical professionals from the north central region of the United States along with geotechnical professionals from the private sector and academia to promote technical interaction and professional development.
The State of Illinois is pleased to host the 2018 MWGC and our objective for this year’s conference is to provide an array of diverse technical presentations as well as a forum in which professionals can share their experiences and challenges within the geotechnical field while exploring innovative solutions.
This conference is aimed to professionals involved in research, design, construction and management in the geotechnical field related to the transportation industry.
The Midwest Geotechnical Conference Member State and Federal DOT organizations include: Iowa; Illinois; Indiana; Kansas; Michigan; Minnesota; Missouri; Nebraska; Ohio; Wisconsin; and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Resource Center. However, geotechnical professionals from other governmental organizations are also invited to attend and participate in the conference.
