Pritzker administration announces $250 Million in infrastructure grants to Illinois counties, municipalities and townships

JB Pritzker and the Illinois Department of Transportation today announced the second of six $250 million grants to counties, municipalities and townships to address local transportation needs. Made possible thanks to the bipartisan Rebuild Illinois capital plan, the first infrastructure program in Illinois in nearly a decade and the largest in state history, the funding ensures continued investment in Illinois’ transportation systems and helps maintain safe and reliable infrastructure at the local level.

Pritzker Administration Announces $31 Million for Quincy, University of Illinois and Rockford Airports

Multiple highway projects underway in Rockford area

Gov. Pritzker Activates Illinois National Guard to Help Local Communities Prepare for Potential Flooding

Springfield, IL - After consulting with local officials and experts at the National Weather Services, the Illinois Emergency Management Agency is initiating sandbagging operations to assist communities along the Illinois River with flood fighting efforts. The National Weather Service is forecasting major river flooding over the next several days for portions of the Illinois River, as well as moderate to minor flooding along nine other rivers in Illinois. To supplement the local efforts, Governor JB Pritzker has activated nearly 60 Illinois National Guard soldiers for State Active Duty to assist with the state's response efforts.

Eisenhower to Kennedy ramp closing June 1

Murray Baker Bridge to close Sunday for major rehab

PEORIA - The Illinois Department of Transportation announced today that the planned closure of the Murray Baker Bridge carrying Interstate 74 over the Illinois River will take place, as scheduled, at 12:01 a.m. Sunday, March 29, weather permitting.
